Back to Tuesdays and Thursdays

Please note we will NOT be training next Monday, as the council have agreed for us to train on Tuesdays and Thursdays from next week, as per our usual winter agreement. So our scheduled training for next week will on the 29th of March(Tuesday) followed by another training on the 31st of March(Thursday), with 6:30 start as per usual. We will be training every Tuesday and Thursday from then on. I apologise for any inconvenience this change would have caused, but this is our normal training time and we are getting two training sessions instead of one.

For the men's team,
As some of you may know, the men's season will be starting on the 10th of April, which means we'll need to have you registered and insured to play before the 6th of April as per the league's instructions, I do take personal responsibility for the lateness of beginning the registration process, I thought we had more time before the season kicks off. Hence, if you are not able pay the club the full amount you are due (300 for non-Swinburne students, 200 for Swinburne Students, 120 for players only staying for one semester) please at least pay me $100 dollars as well as your signed membership form (see attached for a copy). However, please note that I will be keeping a record of how much each player has paid, as well as their fee status. Hence, I will be chasing up funds owed to the club and if you have paid only for one semester and decided to play on for more and/or if you have not paid the rest of your registration by the end of April, I will be telling Wayne to not play you, as it is unfair to other players who have paid in full.

Simon and I will be staying back at trainings for the next few weeks to collect the money and forms, alternatively you may pay at Swinergy, but please bring your receipt with you as prove of your payment. You can ask for a receipt from me as prove of your payment to myself as well. New players will also need to have a photo taken as part of the registration process, this will be organised at training.

For the women's team,
As your season starts later, you may pay at a later date, Tess will inform you when your season will kick off, you may make payments now to either myself or Tess. receipt will be issued upon request.

Regards,

Yang Wu,
President,
Swinburne FC

The Tan

NOTE that we also have a running session at The Tan (Royal Botanical Gardens). Meet at the base of the mighty hill(corner of Alexandra av and Anderson rd) at 6:15pm sharp on Wednesday. Make the effort to rock up there as the extra fitness will come very handy for the upcoming hard and rough season.

Up and Running

Ladies and Gents, the season is now upon us and training has started. We are back at the home ground (Fortress Howard Dawson Reserve) every Monday at 6:30 until further notice.

Bring your own balls and plenty of water until we have access to the change rooms (early April). Make sure that you wear runners as opposed to boots as the cricket season is still being played.

See you all on Monday and please bring any mates along that wish to play. No excuses, lets get fit and start with a bang.
