Swinburne FC’s cup run has ended as quick as it started after a 4-2 defeat at the hands of Fortuna 60.
The boys got out to a ripping start after two goals from midfielder Mackenzie Hyder had us leading against the Morwell side.
Hyder’s double made him the club’s 7th different individual goal scorer for the club in the compeition and took him to 2nd all-time for Cup goals for Swinburne FC.
A late goal in the first half from Fortuna had us enter the break with a goal advantage.
In the second half it slowly fell apart with the boys exhausted in the 33 degree heat that saw Fortuna put on another three goals to take a decisive lead.

Attention now turns to the Metropolitan Leagues with Round 1 forecasted to kick-off in late April.
