Joel Kleber resigns as Men’s Head Coach

Swinburne FC

Swinburne FC today confirms that after two seasons as Head Coach, Joel Kleber will be stepping down from his role.

Joel took charge at short notice ahead of the 2024 season during a challenging period for the club. Since then, he has played an important role in rebuilding stability, supporting the playing group, and guiding the team through two competitive campaigns.

In response to the announcement, Joel said;

Hate to do it, just can’t commit with everything I have planned for 2026. Will be playing thirds until my knee collapses.

Swinburne FC President Thomas Burchsmith thanked Joel for his dedication and service

“On behalf of the committee, players and wider club community, we sincerely thank Joel for the commitment he has brought over the past two seasons. He stepped into the role when we needed him most and brought real stability.”
