Swinburne FC Friendly Recap: Seniors Shine, Reserves Held to a Draw

Swinburne FC faced off in another set of pre-season friendlies with a mixed bag of results against Footscray yesterday at Hansen Park, West Footscray.
The Reserves faced a tough challenge, with both sides battling hard but ultimately unable to break the deadlock.
The match finished 0-0, highlighting a competitive and evenly matched contest with Ben Collings keeping a clean sheet between the sticks.

The Seniors, on the other hand, put on a strong display in their first friendly under new coach Ethan Perotto.
Swinburne led 1-0 at halftime, thanks to a goal from Chris Kennedy and extended their advantage in the second half.
Martin grabbed a second goal to cement his brace off a counter attack, while Martin doubled his tally adding a third later in the match to secure a 3-1 victory.

This was Perotto’s first game in charge and the team will now continue fine-tuning their tactics as they prepare for the official season kickoff on Sunday, April 26, with fixtures to be released in the coming weeks.
